Cindy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American artist born in Denver where she now works and resides in Dallas, Texas. After a few illustration jobs during her college career, Cindy switched her focus to gallery work where she exhibited in Moody Performance Hall, 500X Gallery, and multiple Dallas cultural centers. As a daughter of refugees, Cindy Nguyen explores the complexities of identity and heritage through intimate portraits of resilient women. Her work weaves together unspoken emotions, fading memories, and the shadows of the past. Through layers of color, texture, and drapery, she captures the vulnerability and strength of those who navigate multiple worlds.
